Paris Saint-Germain are allegedly planning to step up their interest in Manchester United star Paul Pogba.
The French heavyweights have already made a statement of intent with their summer signings thus far, bringing in Georginio Wijnaldum and Sergio Ramos on free transfers while also sealing a deal for Achraf Hakimi from the Serie A champions Inter Milan.
As manager Mauricio Pochettino aims to assemble a roster capable of dethroning Lille as Ligue 1 winners, a recent report stated that contact has already been made with Paul’s camp over a summer move.
Now, a French daily newspaper L’Equipe claims that the Parisians are ready to step up their interest in the midfielder having completed three major deals this summer, as Red Devils man is yet to commit his long-term future to his club beyond 2022.
The report adds that the European giants are happy to shell out as much as £51 million to secure the player’s signature, and the former Juventus ace is understood to be ‘seduced’ by the idea of pulling on Paris Saint-Germain shirt.
Pogba played a key role for his country during their UEFA Euro 2020 campaign, but Switzerland eliminate the pre-tournament favourites on penalties pre-tournament favourites.
