Manchester United have joined Juventus, Bayern Munich and Barcelona in the race for RB Leipzig attacker Dani Olmo, according to reports.
The summer transfer market may have only just concluded – with the Red Devils bringing in Tom Heaton, Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho – but links are already coming in fast and strong ahead of next year’s market.
Leipzig’s all-around attacker Olmo is the latest to be mentioned with a move to Old Trafford off the back of his fine maiden season in the Bundesliga and an impressive showing for Spain at Euro 2020.
Marca report that Blaugrana were keen on bringing him back to Catalonia on transfer deadline day but Die Roten Bullen refused their offer as the club had left it far too late for them to find a direct replacement.
In spite of their financial troubles, the Catalans still want to sign Dani in either of the next two markets but it’s reported that his long-term future is now unclear as the Red Devils, Die Roten and I Bianconeri all have their ‘sights set’ on Olmo too.
The Manchester Evening News doesn’t understand the Spaniard to be a current target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, with the signing of a holding midfielder a bigger priority in next summer’s window.
