Mikel Arteta, in our opinion, could have the next Raheem Sterling in his ranks if Arsenal sign Leeds United wonderkid Wilfried Gnonto in the summer.
Pep Guardiola revealed in an interview with Sky Sports that it was the Gunners boss who coached the Chelsea winger and Leroy Sane on how to be more impactful closer to the opposition box, which led to the pair being incredibly productive at Manchester City.
Given that Arsenal has been linked with a move for Wilfried Gnonto next season, Mikel Arteta could turn him into Raheem Sterling 2.0.
Arteta has the ability to mold Arsenal target Gnonto into the next Sterling.
This season, the £3.8 million (Daily Mail) wideman has been a revelation for Leeds. Looking at the raw tools of the Italian international, it’s easy to see why he has the potential to become a player of the caliber of the Three Lions hero.
While Wilfried Gnonto has been praised for his excellent dribbling and frightening pace, Mikel Arteta could coach him into becoming the most complete version of himself at Arsenal.
The former Zurich starlet, like the 27-year-old, does his best work out wide and has only shown flashes of being a threat from central areas.

As seen with Raheem Sterling in the past and Gabriel Martinelli in the present, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was able to coach the pair into expertly running in behind defenses and being perfectly positioned inside the box, characteristics that Wilfried Gnonto needs to improve.
At only 19 years old, the youngster, described as a “smart player” by Owen Hangreaves, could combine his devastating 1v1 ability with equally dangerous off-the-ball weapons to become the complete modern-day winger.
Given that Mikel Arteta appears to be the ‘winger whisperer,’ as evidenced by the rises of Raheem Sterling, Bukayo Saka, and Gabriel Martinelli under his tutelage, Wilfried Gnonto in an Arsenal shirt could be the same.
Edu Gaspar deserves credit for making the exciting transfer a reality.
