In terms of Declan Rice, Arsenal appear to be on the right track.
For several months, the Gunners have been heavily linked with the West Ham midfielder.
Arsenal made the correct decision not to make a move ahead of the Hammers’ Europa League final.
With that out of the way, and Rice and his team having won the trophy, the Gunners are likely to press on.
According to Football Transfers, Arsenal has ‘already made an £80m-plus-bonuses bid’ for Rice.
They claim that no agreement has been reached between the Gunners and West Ham for the midfielder.
Rice, on the other hand, ‘has his sights set on the Emirates’ after reportedly agreeing personal terms with at least two clubs.
Arsenal faces stiff competition for the player, including Bayern Munich and Manchester United.
Rice’s father, on the other hand, is said to have told the Bundesliga club that his son wants to stay in the Premier League.
The Gunners appear eager to complete a deal for Rice in order to complete Granit Xhaka’s transfer to Bayer Leverkusen.
With the Europa League out of the way, hopefully Arsenal will be able to reach an agreement soon.
West Ham will obviously want to get the best possible price for their prized asset, so negotiations will be meticulous.
However, things appear to be moving in the right direction, and Rice will provide Arsenal with a truly ‘complete’ player.
We’ve all seen how good the 24-year-old is, and he will undoubtedly add significantly to the Gunners’ squad.
