Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, will undoubtedly be happy with the depth with which he has stocked his Gunners.

Arsenal will be facing a number of injuries as they travel to Bournemouth on Saturday to play in the Premier League.

This might result in the return of a player to Arsenal who fell from grace in his first season and is now a lower priority.

Takehiro Tomiyasu, who has only made two starts this season in all competitions, is the player in issue.

Ben White at right back, Oleksandr Zinchenko at left back, and William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes at centre back are Arteta’s go-to backfield choices.

Consequently, Tomiyasu is now forced to settle with cameos. But the “horribly fast” player might now start on the south coast given Arsenal’s injury woes.

Saliba is questionable coming into the match, and even if he is fit, Arteta needs to focus on the matches against Manchester City and Lens the following week.

on light of this, the manager of Arsenal may decide to start Zinchenko, Gabriel, Tomiyasu, and White on the back line.

Tomiyasu was praised as a “warrior,” “amazing,” and “genuinely world class” after he shined at the back for the Gunners in the midweek Carabao Cup victory against Brentford.

Magnificent

Arteta was all love for Tomiyasu during his pre-match press conference at London Colney ahead of this weekend’s game.

The Arsenal manager remarked, “I always say that I’m really confident the moment Tomi has consistency, because it’s going to be a tremendous asset for us.”

We don’t have a player like him because he can play in any backline formation and position.

“In numerous scenarios, I’ve seen some of the best defences I’ve seen from him. his beliefs, how he lives them out, and how he approaches duels.

“A run of games that maximise his physical potential is now necessary for him. We will have a player that is extremely vital to us when Tomi is playing at his peak.

This seems to indicate that Tomiyasu will likely get more playing time—possibly even a few starts.

Once everyone is fit, the £16 million player—a player of the highest caliber—will undoubtedly be eager to play and cause Arteta even more trouble with selection. Beware of cherries.
