According to Fabrizio Romano in his exclusive CaughtOffside blog, Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is not a part of Mauricio Pochettino’s project at Stamford Bridge and appears destined to leave the team before the end of the summer.
After falling out of favour at Chelsea, Hudson-Odoi left on loan to Bayer Leverkusen last season. However, the club will undoubtedly believe that he did little while away in Germany to demonstrate that he is now prepared to return and have an impact in the Premier League.
Despite being viewed as a major prospect when he first made a name for himself as a young player for Chelsea, Hudson-Odoi’s career has not really advanced as many would’ve thought. If a buyer can be found, it may now be the ideal time to dump him.
Romano anticipates the 22-year-old to leave, but it appears that a deal with Fulham is presently off. Nottingham Forest is another option for him, but nothing is yet close.
Callum Hudson-Odoi is another player who has left the Chelsea project, so departures are still something to keep an eye on, according to Romano.
“The most recent is that Fulham have currently given up on trying to sign him. Nottingham Forest has expressed interest as well, but nothing has developed yet.
“Still, he will leave Chelsea for sure,” the club said. “The club has been very clear in their message to the player to find another solution this summer.”
