Manchester City are still strengthening their squad despite winning a historic treble this season, winning the Premier League, FA Cup, and UEFA Champions League.

They are close to finalising the signing of Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic.

It has also been reported that Pep Guardiola has asked the club to sign PSG star Achraf Hakimi, and the club is willing to spend big money on him because they believe he will be crucial to the team Guardiola is attempting to build.

And, according to Fabrizio Romano, the treble winners have agreed personal terms with Croatian superstar Josko Gvardiol.

He also stated that the clubs will now hold talks in order to reach an agreement on the fee. RB Leipzig wants to keep the player and will not accept any bid less than €100 million, making him the most expensive centre-back in history.

Pep Gvardiola thinks a lot of Joko.

Clubs will hold talks; RB Leipzig hopes to keep Gvardiol and will not sell for less than €100 million.

He would be brought in to replace Aymeric Laporte, who has been linked with a summer exit. It was previously reported that the Frenchman is unhappy at City after falling down the pecking order this season and will seek a move away.
