Declan Rice should pick Arsenal over Manchester United this summer, according to Ally McCoist.

McCoist gave his thoughts on what is expected to be one of the greatest transfer sagas of the summer when speaking on TalkSPORT (5/6 8:53am).

Declan Rice will do his best to block out any thoughts of his potential future.

He is presently getting ready for what may be his club career’s most important game.

In the Europa Conference League Final on Wednesday, West Ham will take on Fiorentina.

There is no better way to go than by winning a European championship as the 24-year-old will probably leave this summer.

Rice has lately been associated with many teams, including Arsenal and Manchester United, but McCoist believes he should remain in London.

If The Emirates turned out to be his final stop, Mikel Arteta would be very happy.

It also puts him and West Ham in a fantastic position to strike a deal.

After missing out on Mykhaylo Mudryk in January, The Gunners will want to avoid becoming involved in another negotiation with a competitor.

Rice is advised by McCoist to switch to Arsenal from Man United
“It’s a funny one,” McCoist responded when asked about the 24-year-old’s future. If I were Declan Rice, I would probably choose Arsenal over Manchester United throughout the course of the weekend and the entire season.

Although I am aware that Manchester United won the League Cup, they appear to be four or five players behind Manchester City when I observe them during the weekend.

Arsenal, in my opinion, is still far behind Manchester City, but I believe they have the ability to catch up to them more quickly.

The hope of Arsenal supporters is that Rice would side with McCoist and reject any Manchester United deal.

Looking at the ages of their finest players, Arteta’s team may be in a stronger position heading into the upcoming season and should continue to improve.

The ideal position for Rice has arisen in the team as a result of Granit Xhaka’s impending departure.

Arsenal will hope they’re in the greatest position to persuade him to sign with their team as long as his asking price doesn’t go up too much.
