Mason Mount is on his way from Chelsea to Manchester United, and the only issue left to be settled between the two teams is the transfer money.

It was previously reported that the England attacker and the Red Devils have reached an agreement on the conditions of a contract. Additionally, figures have now been made public.

According to Football Insider, the 24-year-old, who is a sought-after player this summer, and Man Utd have reached an agreement on a contract worth £10.4 million year, or £200,000 per week.

The temptation of playing in the Champions League may have aided the Old Trafford club in wooing the Three Lions star away from Liverpool.

According to the news source, Chelsea could now accept a deal of close to £70 million even though they previously valued their prized asset at £80 million.

Stan Collymore believes that United will err if they agree to pay Mount’s asking price since it is simply too high. According to the former Anfield star (The Mirror):

“If I were Manchester United’s hiring manager, I wouldn’t consider paying Mason Mount more than £80 million,”

“If he were available for £40m, Chelsea would get the better of me. But with the price being discussed, there is a chance that United will make the same Harry Maguire error once more.
