Real Madrid are in desperate need of a world-class striker after losing Karim Benzema to Al-Ittihad at the end of last season. For the past five seasons, the Frenchman has been the main source of goals for Los Blancos, and he is even the current Ballon d’Or winner. As a result, he has left some big shoes to fill at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Joselu has joined Real Madrid on loan this summer. With all due respect to the Spaniard, who has been impressive recently, it does not appear that he is the man to lead Real Madrid’s line if they want to compete for every major trophy next season. Alvaro, the club’s only other striker option, is 18 years old and has only played a few games at the senior level.

Harry Kane was linked to Real Madrid earlier in the transfer window. For years, the Englishman has been one of the best strikers in the world, and he could be the ideal replacement for someone like Benzema.

However, those rumours have faded in recent weeks. Instead, it appears that Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have emerged as front-runners in the race to sign Kane.

PSG is prepared to make a €100 million offer for Real Madrid’s target.

PSG has been focusing on Kane for several days, according to RMC Sport. Last week, they were in London to meet with Daniel Levy and his entourage. The French club can make an offer close to €100 million, which would satisfy Tottenham Hotspur.

The outcome of the Kane transfer saga remains to be seen. Tottenham Hotspur have few options with his current contract expiring next summer.

Apart from PSG, Bayern Munich is also interested in signing Kane and is thought to have made two bids for him. Real Madrid’s pursuit of England’s national captain appears unlikely.
