Raphinha, a winger for Barcelona, is someone that Arsenal would definitely be interested in signing if he become available this summer.

Raphinha, a winger for Barcelona, is still a target for Arsenal as they look to add another wide player.

Charles Watts, an Arsenal reporter, stated as much in a Raphinha interview with TEAMtalk.

Watts asserts that if Barcelona expressed a wish to sell, Arsenal would ‘definitely’ want to get Raphinha.

Watts does, however, have his doubts that Barcelona will let the Brazilian go since he thinks he can have a significant future effect.

It would be audacious of Barcelona to let the Brazilian depart now as he only joined the club last summer.

However, Barcelona’s financial condition is still precarious, which may suggest that a high-profile sale like Raphinha is still possible.

The ‘ideal’ acquisition for Arsenal, according to Watts, would be Raphinha, and it appears that Edu would like to make that move as well.

If he were for sale, Arsenal would unquestionably be interested in acquiring him, according to Watts. I simply don’t believe Barcelona will let him leave this summer.

They remain adamant that Raphinha may have a significant impact on their lives. He obviously wants to stay in Barcelona, therefore I don’t think they’ll even think about letting him go. But I believe that buying someone to fill Saka’s spot and offer competition would be the ideal move for Arsenal,” he continued.

Edu, the head of Arsenal, adores Raphinha.

Just over a year ago, Arsenal was eager to sign Raphinha away from Leeds United.

Raphinha, according to Fabrizio Romano and technical director Edu, has become a “obsession” for Arsenal.

Raphinha has been outstanding for Leeds, scoring 17 goals and dishing out 12 assists in 67 games.

Barcelona ultimately prevailed in the competition, signing the former Rennes star to a contract for over £55 million.

However, Arsenal has continued to show interest, as Sky Sports reported in January that the Gunners made contact to sign Raphinha after losing out to Chelsea for Mykhailo Mudryk.

Arsenal would seek to add another right-sided winger this summer, Sky Sports writer Dharmesh Sheth suggested earlier this month.

Raphinha may be the ideal signing there, so Bukayo Saka needs some protection and competition.

Raphinha is unlikely to accept that kind of position, and while Edu will be keeping an eye on his situation at Barcelona, a transfer to Arsenal this summer seems improbable.
