There’s a suspicion that Pochettino is going to sell 22-year-old Chelsea player when he takes charge

There is a rumour that when Mauricio Pochettino takes over as manager, Callum Hudson-Odoi of Chelsea will be sold.

GiveMeSport claims that when the Argentine returns to the team from his loan in Germany, he will decide the 22-year-old’s future.

This season, Hudson-Odoi has been a player for Bayer Leverkusen and has had the chance to train with promising young coach Xabi Alonso.

However, since the former Liverpool and Real Madrid player took over earlier this season, his playing time has significantly decreased.

Unfortunately, the Englishman’s lack of playing time for his loan team has coincided with the Bundesliga team’s recent run of success.

Hudson-Odoi’s playing time was limited while he was a Chelsea player last season because Thomas Tuchel was reluctant to put him in a wide attacking role.

Hudson-Odoi will be sold by Pochettino.
Instead, he played a wing-back position for the majority of his time on the field—a position he later acknowledged he had never even played before.

Before Pochettino has even been formally announced as the new permanent manager at Stamford Bridge, rumours have already started to spread about which players he will regard as crucial first team stars.

This has allegedly included Mason Mount and N’golo Kante, with the Argentine reportedly asking the team to resume talks with the England international in order to keep him on board.

Hudson-Odoi, a fellow Cobham graduate, doesn’t have a promising future because, according to reports, he will likely be put up for sale this summer.

Given the promise the Englishman displayed while progressing through the youth teams at Cobham, it will be sad to see him leave the team, but it is impossible to see a future for him there.
