ARSENAL long-term goal Victor Osimhen has stated that he wishes to “achieve his dream” of playing in the Premier League.
Arsenal have been keeping a close eye on Osimhen in recent months, and it is widely expected that they will renew their interest in the striker at the end of the current season.
Osimhen is currently one of the best strikers in the world, having scored 21 goals and made four assists in just 26 appearances for Napoli this season.
Napoli refuses to sell – However, president Aurelio Laurentiis believes that players like Osimhen, who has been linked to Arsenal, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are vulnerable to other “can’t-refuse” offers.
While the 24-year-old is currently committed to the Italian club, he has stated his desire to move to the Premier League once more.
‘Playing in one of the world’s top five leagues is an incredible feeling for me and a good fit,’ he said at a press conference on Monday.
‘I’m now in one of the best leagues in the world, the Italian Serie A. Of course, many people around the world regard the Premier League as the best and most powerful league.
‘I’m working extremely hard to realize my dream of playing in the Premier League someday. But, as I previously stated, it is a process, and all I want to do is maintain this momentum and continue to perform well.’
Osimhen is a fantastic striker who is ready for the Premier League, but with ARSENAL already boasting Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah, is he really required at the Emirates?
He would be a fantastic signing, but Jesus will lead the attack next season, and Mikel Arteta will not want to sign a forward to replace him.
