Newcastle United are said to be the most interested in signing him, with emissaries from the Saint James Park club having been present at Balaídos to watch him play against Atlético.
Celta are hoping to earn around £30 million for their star man, but it may be difficult for them to keep him due to his current contract running until 2026.
If United were to make the move for Veiga at the reported asking price, they would be acquiring a player with the potential to develop into a world-class performer.
