Arsenal have been linked with Ruben Neves, but the Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder appears to prefer a move to Barcelona.

Arsenal are among the clubs interested in signing Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Neves, who has been described as “a top, top player” and “sensational” by former Manchester United defender Gary Neville on Sky Sports Premier League (7:29pm, March 18, 2022).

Barcelona is interested in signing Neves, according to Sport.

According to the Spanish publication, Wolves are willing to sell the 26-year-old Portugal international midfielder for €50 million (£44 million).

Liverpool has also been mentioned.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Neves has agreed on personal terms with Barcelona for a long-term contract.

The Portuguese star, according to Romano, will wait until Barcelona.

Arsenal suffers a setback as a result of Ruben Neves’ stance on Barcelona.

Of course, Arsenal is a big club, but Barcelona, who won the La Liga title this season, is even bigger.

The opportunity to play for Barcelona does not come along very often, so we can understand why Neves would wait for the former UEFA Champions League champions.

If Barcelona are unable to fund a move for Neves, Arsenal may be able to complete a deal later in the summer transfer window.
