Currently, Oleksandr Zinchenko’s ailment is a cause for some concern.

According to Kaya Kaynak of Football London, who discussed Zinchenko’s injuries on his YouTube channel.

However, Kaynak remarked that Zinchenko’s ailment is a little more serious than any other now affecting the Arsenal squad, including the likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard.

Zinchenko was previously expected to participate in Arsenal’s preseason, but he was regrettably absent from Thursday’s friendly, raising new questions about the Ukrainian’s fitness.

Concerning Zinchenko injury

What Kaynak knows about the £35 million player was disclosed.

“His injury is a little more serious; it’s a calf issue from last season that’s still bothering him, and it was a calf injury that kept him out early in the previous season as well. As Arsenal helps him regain his fitness, he might play in the preseason games, so I was told. There were images of him working out, but I don’t know how rigorous the workouts were because the early indications are that his calf issue is still bothering him, according to Kaynak.

Concern

This might actually be a problem for Arsenal.

Since Zinchenko plays the inverted full-back position, which is so important to how Arsenal builds up from the back, Zinchenko is vitally essential to the way the Gunners play.

Zinchenko’s return to light training is undoubtedly encouraging, but he doesn’t yet appear to be fit enough to play for the first squad.

If Arsenal is to win the league this season, they will need to get off to a quick start, and to do so, they will need all of their finest players to be healthy and on point.
