After his parents were kidnapped in Colombia, Liverpool player Luis Diaz’s mother was saved by police on Saturday night; his father is still being sought after.

Luis Diaz’s parents were kidnapped in Colombia on Saturday night. The Liverpool star’s mother has been spared, but his father is still wanted.
Before kidnapping Diaz in Barrancas, La Guajira, it is believed that unidentified armed motorcycle riders tracked down the vehicle Diaz’s parents were riding in. It is said that the automobile was halted and boarded before the parents were taken out.
Cilenis Marulanda, Diaz’s mother, was quickly saved when the police and military established a barrier. The search for Luis Manuel Díaz is still ongoing.
When the mother was once more in a safe location, Director of Police General William Salamanca gave an update. “Madam, I commend the authorities for their responsiveness and the dedication of all the police personnel to the cause. We are glad you are back at liberty.”

Luis Diaz’s parents were kidnapped in Colombia.
He spoke about Diaz’s father, saying, “Let’s continue looking for the football player’s father, we already have the mother.” Furthermore, SEMENA was told by a source, “She is scared, but she is fine and in good health.” They took the father out of the car and took him on a motorbike ride on the neighbouring trails.”
A motorcyclist appears to be following the vehicle that Diaz’s parents were driving just before the kidnapping, according to CCTV footage that SEMANA was able to get.
“The Colombian Football Federation regrets the security situation that our player Luis Diaz’s parents are going through,” the national team of Colombia wrote in support of Diaz on Twitter. The FCF extends its support to him and his entire family and urges the relevant authorities to act quickly to resolve the issue.”
In January 2022, Diaz signed with Liverpool after leaving Porto. Even though he lives in England, his parents have continued to reside in Colombia. Despite their great distance from each other, he has always had a close relationship with his parents.
The previous year, his mother said, “God gives him blessings so that he can continue to excel.” We talk every day, and he is loving towards everyone, even his father. He says to me, “Mom, you’re the best mommy in the world; I adore you.” He has always been direct and humble, and I have seen this quality in him since he was a small child.”He doesn’t harbour resentment towards anyone.”
