Arsenal are preparing a new bid for Barcelona defender Eric Garcia after failing to sign him during the January transfer window.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Mikel Arteta’s side is set on signing the 22-year-old in the summer.
The Gunners have a history of being linked to Eric Garcia. According to Sport, Arsenal were very interested in Garcia in January, with Arteta previously working with the defender at Manchester City.
Obviously, no action would be taken. According to the report, Garcia had no desire to leave Camp Nou for the Premier League leaders.

Arsenal, on the other hand, does not appear to be deterred. And if they make another bid for the youngster in the coming months, they may get a different response.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Arsenal want to sign Garcia this summer. And he could consider a move while Barcelona is negotiating a deal for Iigo Martnez.
Garcia has been in and out of Xavis’s starting lineup for the majority of the season. According to the report, he does not want to spend another year in a similar situation.
However, one has to wonder if he would play regularly if he moved to Arsenal. With William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes, the Gunners have one of the best partnerships in the Premier League.
Garcia appears to have a bright future ahead of him. Xavi previously referred to him as a “extraordinary” talent.
However, if he were to join Arsenal in the summer, he would have to be patient. However, he may be enticed by the chance to return to the Premier League and work with Arteta, whom he knows well.
Arsenal clearly believes that a deal can be struck.
