It appears that Mohamed Elneny, an Arsenal midfielder, would be available for the Gunners when they travel to Liverpool in the Premier League.
Just under two weeks ago, the 31-year-old Arsenal great faced PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League, marking his first start of the campaign.
But a hamstring injury forced Elneny to leave the game in the 62nd minute, and Martin Odegaard replaced him.
Fortunately, the layoff hasn’t turned out to be lengthy. Elneny was seen during the practice, which was captured in photos that Arsenal released on Friday.
Arteta expressed his hope to the Arsenal media team that Elneny will be able to participate in training before Friday’s session at Colney. That establishes the case, indicating that he might be available to play against Liverpool.
A boost is given to Arsenal as Mohamed Elneny rejoins the Gunners’ training.
It’s encouraging to see Elneny back in training and maybe available for Arteta to choose in his squad, especially with Thomas Partey still down and Jorginho doubtful for the encounter.
Over the years, the Egypt international has played a significant role in Arteta’s team. He entered the dressing room with the proper attitude and performed admirably when needed.
But regrettably, Elneny has also sustained injuries recently. Due to thigh issues and a knee injury, he missed the majority of the previous season and didn’t play again until September of this year.
Hopefully, he has moved past these problems completely and that his “brilliant” talent will help Arsenal win more hardware this season.
The Gunners will play in the FA Cup at the third round in January and are well positioned to win the Premier League title. They are also in the final 16 of the Champions League. Thus, there is much to contend with.
