Julian Brandt could soon follow close friend and Chelsea player Kai Havertz to the English top division, realizing his ambition of playing in the Premier League.
Christian Falk, writing for CaughtOffside in an exclusive update, has verified that Arsenal are now “more interested than ever before” in the summer transfer season.
Kai Havertz is a close friend of Julian Brandt. After Havertz left Leverkusen to play in the Premier League, they both felt as though they needed to advance, thus Brandt later changed teams to Dortmund. Given that he has been aspiring to play in the Premier League for years, it is ultimately not the same, the BILD reporter said.
“There has always been communication with Arsenal, and we’ve heard the club is once more interested. As his contract with Dortmund expires in 2024, a choice must be made, especially since he has been more reliable this season than in previous ones.
“At this point, following Havertz to England could be the best course of action. Although he doesn’t now have a certain club in mind, Arsenal is undoubtedly more intrigued than before.
Dortmund will have to make a very excellent offer to retain him in the Bundesliga; else, it could be time for a Premier League transfer, according to the report that Tottenham has knocked on the club’s door.
The German international, now 26 years old, has continued his late comeback under Edin Terzic with six goals in his first eight league games back in the Bundesliga following the winter break.
It’s not the first time the wide player has drawn interest from the British Isles; it was once said that Jurgen Klopp was a major fan before being forced to “settle” for record-breaking striker Mo Salah.

The career of a player who was previously probably not too dissimilarly viewed to current colleague Jude Bellingham, who is also currently the subject of considerable interest from Liverpool and England at large, has been beset by inconsistency.
Nonetheless, Brandt has plenty of time to develop to the fullest in probably the most competitive league in sport, as the Reds’ Egyptian King has shown.
There’s a very real potential that his final season in Germany might finish with a rare league triumph for BVB and increased attention from overseas, assuming he can build on his present success and, crucially, sustain it for the duration of Dortmund’s season.
