Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, has acknowledged that, following his outstanding cameo against Sheffield United, he is a big fan of defender Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Arteta was addressing the media through Football London after his team easily defeated the Premier League’s bottom team, 5-0.

When the starting lineup for Arsenal was revealed yesterday, there were a few unexpected names.

In addition to Kai Havertz and Jakub Kiwior returning to the lineup, Emile Smith Rowe had his first league start since the 2021–2022 campaign.

Eddie Nketiah, who scored the Gunners’ first league hat-trick, was the hero of the show.

Before Takehiro Tomiyasu sealed the victory, Portuguese playmaker Fabio Vieira added a fourth goal from the penalty spot.

The £16 million Japanese international, who came off the bench to replace Ben White, was thrilled to score his first goal for the team.

Mikel Arteta declared his affection for Tomiyasu following his goal over Sheffield United.

Oleksandr Zinchenko, the versatile defender was brought into the team for the Champions League match against Sevilla following his difficult day against Chelsea the previous weekend.

He demonstrated his value with a performance worthy of Player of the Match, and he keeps making his manager’s job in selecting the team difficult.

Tomiyasu’s performance against Sheffield United won Arteta over.

Concerning the 24-year-old, Arteta declared, “I adore him.” All people adore him.

He’s among the most well-liked people in that changing area. His teammates’ response to him is evident; they want him to enjoy himself up front because he is always so reserved and constantly looks out for the other boys.

“A terrific member of the team.”

The way Arteta’s bench responded to Tomiyasu’s goal against Sheffield United says everything you need to know about his standing in the team.

Being on the team makes him an extremely popular player who keeps getting better.

It’s sad that Tomiyasu isn’t a certain to start each week.

When called upon, he hardly steps wrong and can play over the back line with ease.

Although Jurrien Timber’s injury was a major setback, Tomiyasu has benefited the most from it.

Arteta will be eager for the Dutchman to return, but Tomiyasu is demonstrating why that isn’t necessary.
