Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Wolves midfielder Joao Moutinho for £39 million this summer.
, the 24-year-old isn’t a priority for Jurgen Klopp’s side this summer, though Nunes remains on the Reds’ transfer shortlist as the summer approaches, with the Wolves star impressing in his first year in England.
, Nunes was wanted by Liverpool prior to his move to Molineux last summer, and it appears that the Reds are willing to continue pursuing the Brazilian-born midfielder this summer.
Furthermore, with Wolves seemingly valuing Nunes at just £39 million, Liverpool could be in for a bargain if they’re willing to go the distance for the 24-year-old maestro, with Romano certain that the midfielder has been wanted by the Reds for some time.
“Liverpool have had Matheus Nunes on their list for a long time, but he’s not a priority now, they have other names on top of the list,” the Italian transfer guru said of the midfielder’s interest. “I believe the asking price could be around €40-45 million (£35-39 million).”
If Wolves only want £39 million for Nunes, Liverpool must make a move.
Many would consider £39 million for a midfielder as good as Nunes to be a steal in this day and age, and as such, Liverpool can’t afford to wait on a deal like this, with the Wolves star exactly what Klopp needs to rejuvenate his squad.
With the transfer window closing in on them, Liverpool know they can’t afford to waste any time or money in what will be their biggest squad overhaul under Klopp, and signing Nunes could be an exceptional addition to the team right away.
