Benjamin Pavard of Bayern Munich is still up for grabs, and according to a recent report, Manchester United is prepared to make an offer.

Who is signing for Benjamin Pavard?

A number of the finest clubs in Europe are vying for Pavard’s services, including Inter Milan, and it has just been claimed that he has personally agreed to a four-year contract with the Serie A team.

However, Inter and Bayern Munich have not yet reached an agreement on a price, and Man United is prepared to pay him more to move to Old Trafford, which might give them an advantage in the center-back transfer market.

Giuseppe Marotta, CEO of Inter, recently provided a new update on the Italian club’s pursuit, and Fabrizio Romano recently shared remarks from him on X, saying: “Pavard? Deal with it. With Bayern, we are currently in negotiations.

The player’s desire to join Inter is important. The problem is that Bayern needs a replacement so they can let him go. However, discussions are still going on.

The Frenchman’s pursuit by Inter appears to be moving forward, but negotiations are ongoing, and other interested teams, like as Arsenal and Manchester United, may try to sabotage the deal.

Sport Witness quotes Italian media as saying that United have notified Bayern that they have €40 million (£34 million) “ready” to spend on the defender but that they must first offload Harry Maguire in order to proceed with negotiations.

Erik ten Hag’s plans have been complicated by Maguire’s refusal to join West Ham United, but he still has interest in the Bayern star even though he would be content to transfer to the San Siro.

As a result, Bayern are presently holding out for a price of £34 million from the Italian club, which means there may still be time for Bayern to hijack the move, should Maguire be sold. The Red Devils are willing to outspend Inter in order to win the race for the former Lille player.

The calibre of Benjamin Pavard?

The France international impressed with his passing skills, averaging the third-highest amount of passes per game in the Bundesliga, and was rated as the best center-back in Europe’s top five leagues by WhoScored last season.

Maguire, on the other hand, performs poorly when in possession of the ball; during the past year, he has averaged a pass completion rate of just 84.5% per 90, ranking him in the 47th percentile among players in his position.

Since he has averaged much more tackles per 90 throughout that period, Pavard might be a significant boost in that regard and a major improvement over Maguire defensively.

The former Stuttgart player is adaptable, able to play both center-back and right-back, and he has a wealth of experience facing off for prestigious awards, having won 13 trophies in his career, including the 2018 World Cup.

Since Pavard has been praised as “excellent” by the media, he might be a great alternative for Maguire, but Man United must move quickly to offload the 30-year-old if they hope to beat Inter Milan to the Frenchman’s signature.
