£33m star returns but key starter remains sidelined|Expected Arsenal line-up vs Leicester
Arsenal will be making the trip to King Power Stadium to take on Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday. The Gunners are only two points ahead of Manchester City, so they need to come away with a victory in order to keep their league leader status. Leicester have been in good form lately, but they were defeated by Manchester United last weekend. Mikel Arteta is unlikely to make any changes to his starting eleven that defeated Aston Villa last weekend. Aaron Ramsdale is set to start in goal, while William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes will be at the heart of the defence. Ben White should start in the right-back position and Oleksandr Zinchenko is expected to continue on the opposite side. Thomas Partey is likely to return to the matchday squad, but Jorginho could keep hold of his place in the holding midfield position. Granit Xhaka will start alongside the Italian in the engine room and Martin Odegaard is likely to be in the more advanced midfield position. Leandro Trossard could continue on the left flank, while Bukayo Saka will be on the right side and in between the two wide men Eddie Nketiah is set to complete the front three for Arsenal. Gabriel Jesus is progressing well after undergoing knee surgery, but he will remain sidelined tomorrow while Emile Smith Rowe will be among the subs.
Arsenal will be making the long trip to King Power Stadium, Leicester on Saturday to face Leicester City in a pivotal match in the Premier League. With just two points separating them from rivals Manchester City, a win for Arsenal could save their lead position on the table.
Leicester have been in excellent form, however were unfortunately denied a victory last week against Manchester United. Manager Mikel Arteta is expected to remain faithful to the team that beat Aston Villa last week, with Aaron Ramsdale in goal, and William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães at the heart of the defence.
Ben White should start at right-back with Oleksandr Zinchenko across from him on the other side. Thomas Partey has been making good progress after his injury, but could be held back, leaving Jorginho in the holding midfield position. Granit Xhaka and Martin Odegaard will arguably provide more attacking flair in the engine room, with Leandro Trossard out on left flank and Bukayo Saka on the right. To complete the front-three, Eddie Nketiah will be the main man.
Unfortunately, Gabriel Jesus will remain out of the matchday squad due to his knee surgery, with Emile Smith Rowe set to provide back-up from the substitutes. It’s set to be an action-packed match, with Arsenal all set to gain the three points needed to extend their lead at the top of the table.
