The 25-year-old has been in outstanding form for Gladbach this season, scoring 14 goals and adding four assists in22 games in all competitions.

The Blues have recently signed Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid and apparently looking for another forward to their squad, and according to Christian Falk, the German club are keen to let Thuram leave for the fee, so they can find a replacement before the transfer window ends.

Barcelona are reported to also be interested in the player, meaning that the Blues need to act quickly to secure the 25-year-old’s services.

Apart from being able to play in most of the front three positions, Thuram possesses a formidable pace and strength as well as a good technical ability that could add another dimension to the Blues’ attacking play.

If the Blues secure the signing of Thuram, it could be the last piece of the puzzle in their quest of European glory in the upcoming months.
