Paul Brown suggests that Arsenal may have a chance to sign West Ham captain Declan Rice this summer without competition from Chelsea due to their spending in the last two transfer windows. It is believed that Rice could be sold for between £75m and £85m, making him an ideal alternative to Thomas Partey, who has had fitness issues. Rice has not missed a match due to injury this season, and if he does move to the Emirates, it would be a major victory for the Gunners.
Arsenal could be in for a major victory this summer with the potential signing of Declan Rice, West Ham’s influential captain.

It has been suggested by Paul Brown that the Gunners may have a chance to sign the Hammers star without competition from Chelsea, whose expenditure in the last two transfer windows is likely to limit their involvement in the bidding war.

Rice is expected to be available for a fee believed to be between £75 million and £85 million, which would make him a more accessible alternative to Thomas Partey, the Ghanaian international who has struggled with injuries this season. Rice, however, has not been side-lined due to injury once this season and could be a major addition to Mikel Arteta’s midfield if he does indeed make the switch to the Emirates.

Though there is expected to be interest in Rice’s services this summer, the news of a lack of involvement from Chelsea is certain to be welcomed by the Gunners. With the addition of Rice, Arteta would be poised to make an incredible impact on his squad in what would be his second full season as manager.

It remains to be seen whether the two clubs can come to an agreement, but if the West Ham captain does sign for Arsenal, it could be the start of a new era at the Emirates.
