It has been reported that Arsenal could be interested in signing Real Valladolid right-back Ivan Fresneda at the end of the season. Journalist Pete O’Rourke has suggested that the Gunners were close to signing the 18-year-old in the January transfer window, but the move failed to materialise. Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, and Manchester United have all been linked with the defender, and it is believed that Valladolid were hoping to receive a fee of around £13 million for the player. O’Rourke has indicated that Arsenal could look to reignite their interest in the summer, but they may face stiffer competition from other clubs.
Arsenal appear to be taking their interest in 18-year-old right-back Ivan Fresneda of Real Valladolid to the next level, as the Gunners are expected to make a move the player in the summer transfer window.

Journalist Pete O’Rourke has suggested that Arsenal were set to agree a deal for the highly highly-rated defender after negotiations in January. However, the transfer failed to materialise, as Valladolid were looking to receive a fee of around £13 million for their prized asset.

It is understood that Arsenal are eager to secure the services of Fresneda and remain keen on acquiring his signature in the next transfer window. However, they may face stiff competition from big European clubs such as Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Manchester United, who have all been linked with the player.

It is not clear whether this interest is genuine, but Arsenal appear to be taking the matter very seriously and will be hoping to make a move for the player when the transfer window reopens.

Regardless of whether Arsenal are successful in their pursuit of Fresneda, it appears that the Gunners are determined to strengthen their options in the full-back positions and re-enter the transfer market. It remains to be seen if the 18-year-old is indeed the man to become the newest addition to Arsene Wenger’s squad.
