Arsenal are “doing everything they can” to sign winger Bukayo Saka to a new contract at the Emirates Stadium, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.
The Arsenal star has just under 18 months left on his current contract with Mikel Arteta’s side.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Saka has always intended to stay at Arsenal for the long term because he “loves” the club, project, and coach.
As a result, it should come as no surprise that the same journalist claims that a new agreement between both parties was reached one week ago and that it will be signed and finalized once the final documents are finalized.
Jones previously told GiveMeSport that Arsenal were confident in keeping Saka at the Emirates Stadium, but that “vultures will be circling” if there is any indication of discontent or disagreement at the north London club.
And the journalist now believes that we can start comparing the 21-year-old, who is valued at £96 million by CIES, to some of the great players the club has had over the years, with the Premier League giants putting everything they can into extending the winger’s current contract.
