Aymeric Laporte has been linked to Arsenal, and he might be William Saliba’s ideal partner. One has informed Mikel Arteta.

This summer, Mikel Arteta will continue to try to sign players who have established themselves at the top of the game, so ARSENAL will be on the lookout for defensive reinforcements.

Juurien Timber was brought in to give that back line a little more versatility, and Declan Rice was brought in to shield it from his defensive midfielder duties.

As Pep Guardiola looks to upgrade his squad, 29-year-old Laporte is likely to leave the Etihad Stadium this summer. There have been rumours that Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Juventus are among the teams that have expressed interest.

According to recent reports on the sun, Arteta has made early contact regarding a potential deal while the big clubs are also interested. Arteta will be hoping to take advantage of his close friendship with the City hierarchy.

Laporte may make the ideal Saliba partner, as the Gunners have now been informed.

What has been said is that

Laporte moving to Arsenal, in my opinion, would actually be a pretty good fit, said journalist Paul Brown to GiveMeSport. I believe he would perform admirably for Arsenal. I’ve previously mentioned my reservations about Joao Cancelo, but Laporte seems like a good fit for Arsenal.

It seems like he has the type of profile that would fit in well with a few of the existing centre backs at the club.

He is trustworthy, knowledgeable, and accustomed to winning, in my opinion. If Arsenal were able to pull it off, that seems like a really smart move.

However, I believe that more work needs to be done before something similar occurs.

WOULD LAPORTE BE ABLE TO TRANSFER TO ARSENAL?

Although we don’t think that ARSENAL have a chance, if Pep Guardiola feels that he can’t get the best out of Laporte in the future, a deal could be in the works. He would be a fantastic addition to that Gunners team.

We simply doubt that Man City will want to continue working with the Gunners.
