Reports suggest that Arsenal are looking to make a move for Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling in the summer.

Manager Mikel Arteta is said to be a big fan of the Englishman, having coached him at Manchester City.

The Gunners are looking to add players with Champions League experience and Sterling fits the bill.

His contract doesn’t expire until 2027, so Chelsea may have to sell him for the same amount they bought him for – £47.5m.

Arteta will be keen to make a move for the winger, as his squad have registered 50 goal contributions between them this season.

With a first foray into the Champions League since 2017 looking likely, the 40-year-old will need some added experience and Sterling has won ten major honours with City, including four Premier League titles.

He has also scored 26 goals and registered 24 assists in 80 Champions League games, while he has three goal contributions for Chelsea in Europe this campaign.

CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs hailed the winger as “delightful” and he is the Blues’ second-highest league scorer with four goals.

Arteta must look to sign him this summer, as his vast experience and impressive scoring rate in Europe proves.
