Danny Murphy was really impressed with two players even though Arsenal’s match against Liverpool at Anfield yesterday ended in a tie.

At Anfield, the Gunners jumped out to an early lead, but the home team came back and levelled with a brilliant strike from Mo Salah.

All things considered, though, Arsenal demonstrated that they are once again very much in the running for the championship and may be grateful for a few standout performances.

Both Declan Rice and William Saliba stood out in particular, and Murphy, a former midfielder for Liverpool, asserted that the Gunners would be lost without them.

After Arsenal vs. Liverpool, Danny Murphy praises Saliba and Rice.
Murphy acknowledged in a Daily Mail editorial that he has been so pleased with the Arsenal tandem and that, as things stand, the Gunners would be lost without them.

“I learned from this game how crucial Rice and William Saliba are to Mikel Arteta. He is dependent on these two players to help them win the Premier League. They can win anyplace with those two guys on the team, according to Murphy.

Prominent athletes rising to the challenge for Arsenal
Large players are needed for big games on a large stage, and Arsenal’s best players delivered performances yesterday.

Saliba was very excellent throughout the game and was awarded Sky’s player of the match. In contrast, Rice excelled and was singled out by Ian Wright for his performance following the game.

Yesterday, Arsenal demonstrated their ability to compete with the major clubs, and Rice’s performance justified their high-profile acquisition.

It seems like Rice is becoming more and more of Arsenal’s primary guy as the season progresses.

Of fact, Saliba appears to be improving constantly and occasionally rivals the top players in the league.
