According to journalist David Ornstein, Arsenal are looking to bolster three positions in the summer transfer window.

Central midfield is a priority area, with West Ham captain Declan Rice reportedly the top target and links to Real Valladolid right-back Ivan Fresneda.

However, they could also move for another striker, which may be a surprising transfer given their current options.

Arsenal’s technical director Edu has a clear vision of where he wants to take the club, and the Kroenkes, who own Arsenal, are also looking to move the club in the right direction.

Gabriel Jesus was Arsenal’s statement signing of the summer and Eddie Nketiah has proven to be a valuable understudy, while Leandro Trossard and Folarin Balogun, who is out on loan at Reims, also provide options. With all of these options available, it would be surprising if Arsenal choose to invest in another striker.
