Manchester United are preparing to end their six-year trophy drought when they face Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley on Sunday. Erik ten Hag has done a remarkable job in turning the club’s fortunes around in such a short period of time, despite the weaknesses in the squad. Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the Red Devils are looking to bring in a right-back, as well as two strikers, with Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Benfica’s Goncalo Ramos being watched, as well as Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong. The two strikers have scored 19 and 20 goals respectively and are on track to become the top scorers in their respective leagues, which would be a great addition to the team.
On Sunday, Manchester United will have the chance to break their six-year trophy drought when they take on Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley. It’s been a remarkable turnaround this season for United, considering the weaknesses in their squad.

In order to give themselves that extra competitive edge, the Red Devils are reportedly looking to bring in a right back and two strikers to bolster the squad even further. As per transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, two strikers are being watched closely – Victor Osimhen of Napoli and Benfica’s Goncalo Ramos. Osimhen has already scored 19 goals this season, while Ramos has 20 in all competitions.

If United can secure the signatures of either of these two, they could end up as the top scorers in their respective leagues this season. This would be a major boost for the Red Devils’ attacking line-up, and could tip the balance in their favour for the Carabao Cup final.

Furthermore, Romano has also revealed that Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong is being looked at for the right back position. Frimpong has made 17 appearances for the German club this season in all competitions, and could be the perfect addition to Manchester United’s defence.

All eyes will be on Manchester United on Sunday as they try to end their trophy drought at Wembley. Although the competition for the Carabao Cup is far tougher than past years, expect the Red Devils to give it their all and come away with the trophy.
