Liverpool set to make approach for Bayern Munich forward

Liverpool have reportedly been in contact with the representatives of Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch as they search for midfielders ahead of the summer transfer window. The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has had a difficult time making an impact at the Allianz Arena this season, with Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka ahead of him in the pecking order. He has scored one goal and provided one assist in 22 games across all competitions, but only made his first Bundesliga start against Borussia Monchengladbach last week.

Gravenberch’s lack of form has seen him omitted from the Dutch squad for the 2022 World Cup, and his future is now in doubt. According to Sport1, the Reds are keeping a close eye on the situation and have already made enquiries. Bayern Munich are still hopeful that he can turn things around, despite his defensive work-rate being criticised.

The Dutchman is contracted to the Allianz Arena until 2027, but Liverpool are determined to bolster their midfield options.
