According to reports from Italy, Arsenal is anticipated to make a “very important” move “in the next few days” to sign Inter Milan star Nicolo Barella.

Who will sign on with Arsenal this season?
The north Londoners are aiming to contend for another Premier League championship after narrowly missing out on last season’s treble-winning Man City.

According to reports, Mikel Arteta and company have been very busy behind the scenes, and some even assert that they may be planning to spend close to £200 million on new hires this summer.

Declan Rice of West Ham United has already been the subject of two rejected offers from Arsenal, and there are currently rumours of a third. However, he is by no means their only transfer target.

Romeo Lavia of Southampton and Jurrien Timber of Ajax are both wanted players in north London as negotiations advance and personal terms near completion.

Kai Havertz is reportedly on his way through the door after Arsenal and Chelsea reached an agreement for a £65 million transfer fee.

Although the aforementioned quartet has been closely linked over the past few weeks, a report from Europe suggests that the north Londoners have also targeted Barella.

The Italian international recently assisted Inter in reaching their first Champions League final since 2010. He will be seen in the competition next season.

Arsenal and Manchester United are presently anticipated to submit “very important offers” for Barella, and this could occur “in the next few days,” according to FC Inter News.it.

Alessandro Beltrami, the agent for Inter and Barella, has reportedly been contacted by Arteta’s side to discuss their intentions in this matter.

Arsenal may need to offer “much further” than Newcastle United’s most recent £60 million offer for the 26-year-old, according to this report, in order to have a chance of reaching a deal.

Nicolo Barella, who is he?
Barella played more Serie A minutes than any other player on the Nerazzurri team last season, making him a key contributor and mainstay under Simone Inzaghi domestically (WhoScored).

He contributed to 12 goals during that time (6 goals, 6 assists), and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has previously praised the midfielder.

The German referred to Barella as a “top-class” player before a European match against Inter last season.

“It’s not bad for us that Barella can’t play,” said Klopp.

“I think he’s a really good player and I think he’s a really good player.

He possesses all the qualities you look for in a midfield player, such as being technical, aggressive, and able to run for an extended period of time. That is a top-tier athlete.
