According to reports from Italy, Arsenal has submitted a €100 million (£86 million) bid to sign Declan Rice from West Ham United.

Declan Rice: Will He Join Arsenal?
The north Londoners are reportedly “serious” about signing Rice for manager Mikel Arteta despite having already had two offers for their top transfer target turned down.

According to reports, Arsenal could undergo a significant midfield makeover this summer, with star player Thomas Partey being pushed out the door in favour of newcomers.

Romeo Lavia, a midfielder for Southampton, is another player who the Gunners are rumoured to be interested in signing along with Rice (Football Insider). They appear to be close to agreeing on personal terms with his club.

At the moment, Arsenal is juggling many balls as they prepare for the medical of new signing Kai Havertz this weekend and continue to speak with defender Jurrien Timber of Ajax.

However, Arteta appears eager to bring the player to north London because Rice is regarded as one of their top priorities.

The prospect of an improved third bid has excited supporters, especially with treble winners Man City lurking in the shadows. Arsenal may need to move quickly if they want to get Rice past Pep Guardiola’s team, who appear to have a keen interest in the England international themselves.

It seems that third offer has now been made by Arteta’s camp following information from an unlikely source.

Arsenal has reportedly “put 100 million euros (£86 million) on the table” to persuade West Ham to part with their prized possession, according to FC Inter News.it.

This statement is made in a piece that also discusses the club’s recent interest in Nicolo Barella. Gunners transfer chief Edu has been reported to be very ambitious this transfer window.

What has Declan Rice been said?
The 24-year-old, who shone at West Ham under David Moyes last season, recently earned his first significant accolade as a player by leading the Irons to a Europa Conference League victory over Fiorentina.

According to WhoScored, Rice distinguished himself as Moyes’ best-performing player by average match rating in the league last season, earning the moniker “world class” from members of the media.

Matthew Upson, a former England and West Ham defender, concurs that he is a “very mature” player for his age.

For his age, “he is a very mature player,” said Upson.

He is an incredibly capable manager of responsibility, which is why he served as the Premier League captain at such a young age.

“Players typically don’t develop their skills in that position until they are in their late 20s. Declan is currently playing at a level that is exceptional for someone his age.
