Agent confirms: Man Utd yet to make decision about future of 28-year-old midfielder
Roger Wittmann, the agent of Marcel Sabitzer, has stated that a decision has yet to be made regarding the Austrian’s future at Manchester United. The 28-year-old joined the Red Devils on loan from Bayern Munich during the winter transfer window and is set to return to the German club when his loan deal ends in the summer. Bayern are reportedly open to a possible exit and could part ways with Sabitzer for as little as £16m. Sabitzer has started the last three Premier League matches for Man United, although he was suspended for their Europa League games against Barcelona. While the 20-time English champions are believed to be considering signing Sabitzer on a permanent basis, his agent has claimed that a decision has not been made yet. Wittman told German outlet Sport1: “He loves the Premier League. At Man United, we see Marcel from RB Leipzig again. I am very happy for him. What’s next in summer? We’ll see when the time comes. He loves this English hardness. It was clear from the start that the Premier League was a great fit for him. He is an aggressive player. He does exactly what he can there. And that’s what’s needed there.”
Marcel Sabitzer is experiencing a huge transformation to his football career with his loan move to Manchester United from Bayern Munich. Sabitzer, who is 28-years-old, joined the Red Devils during the winter transfer window. Although his loan expires this summer, Bayern are reportedly open to a possible exit and could part ways with the Austrian for as little as £16m.
It comes as no surprise that Sabitzer is settling in so well at Man United considering his history at RB Leipzig. He has started the last three Premier League matches for the Red Devils, despite being suspended for the Europa League matches against Barcelona. His agent, Roger Wittmann, has since gone on to claim that there is yet to be a decision made, but that his client is enjoying the English hardness that the Premier League demands.
Sabitzer clearly sees the Premier League as his optimal playground. As a “very aggressive player” and with his love for the English hardness, Man United could potentially be the best-suited team for Sabitzer to express himself and excel in the league.
However, the countdown to the summer transfer window has begun and it appears that the ball is in Wittman’s court. With time currently up, people can only wait and see whether Sabitzer stays at United on a permanent basis or not.
