Roberto Firmino, a former star of Liverpool, is supposedly returning to the Premier League to take part in the relegation fight.

The Brazilian has reportedly had difficulties since leaving Liverpool to join Al-Ahli, a Saudi club, according to talkSPORT.

Numerous European teams expressed interest in the former Premier League player, but he ultimately chose to relocate to the Middle East.

Firmino scored three goals in his first game for Al-Ahli, but he hasn’t scored since, and the Saudi team is allegedly not happy with him.

According to talkSPORT, Sheffield United had already expressed interest in hiring the beloved Liverpool player. It will be interesting to see if they maintain the interest they had before Chris Wilder took over as manager once more.

He played a key role in his Liverpool career, and Sheffield United would be thrilled to have a player with his calibre and experience join the team, should the player be interested in moving.

Firmino led a struggling Liverpool team under Jurgen Klopp last season, scoring 11 goals in the Premier League and dishing out four assists.

Along with Mo Salah and Sadio Mane, he was a member of the renowned Liverpool assault that helped the team win both the Premier League and the Champions League.

The Brazilian was Jurgen Klopp’s favourite player at Liverpool, providing the German manager with the goods when he needed it most.

Firmino’s capacity to connect with and improve his teammates may prove to be critical to Sheffield United’s relegation struggle.

Although there are others who argue that Firmino’s relocation to Saudi Arabia was driven by financial considerations, things aren’t always better on the other side.
