“That could be a big thing”- Charles Watts reacts after hearing who could miss Everton v Arsenal

Charles Watts has suggested that the potential absence of Dominic Calvert-Lewin from Everton’s trip to Arsenal could be beneficial to the Gunners.

The striker missed the Toffees’ loss to Aston Villa with injury, and is set to be out again for the match at the Emirates.

Watts believes that without Calvert-Lewin, Everton will lack an out-ball, as they will likely sit deep to stifle Arsenal.

He also noted that Neal Maupay is likely to replace the Englishman, and that the Arsenal players will not forget his involvement in recent games with them.

In the first fixture, Calvert-Lewin won six of his eight attempted aerial duels, as well as completing two dribbles, which was key to Everton’s defensive approach.

Without him, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes should have an easier time in the air against Maupay, and this could help the Gunners to secure the win.
