Declan Rice is wanted by Arsenal from West Ham, but they want to pay a lower price than what they believe is fair.

The Evening Standard reports that the Gunners are eager to purchase Rice but demand a significant discount from the £120 million price tag West Ham has placed on him.

Rice is available for roughly £90 million, and Arsenal is hopeful the Hammers will accept a price around that amount.

Declan Rice would be ideal for Arsenal.

According to The Evening Standard, Arsenal is aggressively seeking a deal to bring Rice to The Emirates. Although the Gunners have money available—more than £200 million—they want to use it wisely.

They are reportedly willing to spend up to £90 million to get Rice and are hoping the Hammers will make a concession.

David Moyes has continuously stated that if Rice is sold, it will be on terms that are advantageous to the team. Given the high level of interest, the West Ham board may decide to wait.

It is well known that Rice would be open to moving to Arsenal. Although he has spoken with Thomas Tuchel at Bayern, he feels that for the time being, staying in England is best for his future.

Man United, Man City, Chelsea, and Liverpool are all said to have had an interest in the English player.

Unavoidable for the Gunners

Arsenal must complete this Rice deal if they want to challenge City once more and prove to everyone that they can compete in the market.

They may have to spend a lot of money, but they need to demonstrate their ability to close significant agreements. Despite their impressive signings thus far, they have yet to land a handful of well-known athletes.

If they can close the deal for Rice, it will be a signal to the rest of Europe.
