Journalist Paul Brown has told GMS that Arsenal would be willing to pay a substantial sum of money to sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan.
The Gunners were linked with the 25-year-old last summer and could revive their interest in him when the transfer window reopens.
TEAMtalk reported that the Premier League trio Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea are all set to battle it out for Martinez’s services.
The Times stated that Inter had placed a £70 million price tag on Martinez last May.
Martinez has been in fine form for the Nerazzurri this season, scoring 16 goals and providing seven assists in 32 appearances across all competitions.
He has also ranked in the 99th percentile for total shots, 97th for interceptions, 92nd for blocks, 88th for non-penalty expected goals, and 86th for touches in the attacking penalty area amongst his positional peers over the last year.
