In the latest edition of his exclusive CaughtOffside column, Fabrizio Romano clarified the recent Kylian Mbappe transfer rumours.
The Paris Saint-Germain and France superstar has been linked with a slew of big names recently, and Romano has specifically moved to address the recent surprise links with Arsenal.
It’s difficult to imagine Arsenal acquiring Mbappe, and the reports appear to be too good to be true.
Romano isn’t one for speculative transfer reports, and it appears he hasn’t heard anything about the Gunners holding any concrete talks about signing Mbappe.
Instead, it appears that Real Madrid is the main club being kept up to date on the Frenchman’s situation, so that could be one to keep an eye on at some point, with Los Blancos also being more well known than AFC for ‘Galactico’ signings like this.
“Despite some big headlines, I honestly have absolutely no news on any English clubs being in talks to sign Mbappe,” Romano said.
“If something happens in the next few months, we’ll let you know, but at this point, I have absolutely no information on this one.”
“Real Madrid is always very well informed on Mbappe; I’m not aware of anything else at this point.”
