The 62-year-old father of Liverpool great Roberto Firmino went away after having a heart attack in Dubai.

Jose Roberto Cordeiro de Oliveira, a Brazilian national, is said to have died from a heart attack while travelling with his family to the Middle East, where his son is currently playing.

The way Gareth Southgate performed in the Euro 2024 qualifying match at Wembley left him upset.

The Brazilian publication UOL reports that Firmino’s representatives have since verified the information with them.

The Liverpool icon, who had a good relationship with his father and recently told the World that he thought of him as “a generous, serious, honest man and dedicated to his family,” is devastated by this news.

Firmino stated via UOL regarding his father in his recently published book SI SENOR: My Liverpool Years: “Not all heroes wear capes; some are called father.”

“My father José served as a role model, inspiration, and hero to me when I was younger.

“A man who is generous, sincere, truthful, and committed to his family.”
