Mason Mount, a midfielder for Chelsea, may now be headed to Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United, but initially, the Jurgen Klopp-led Liverpool were reportedly Mason Mount’s top choice.

Mason Mount’s “preferred option” prior to Manchester United’s summer transfer agreement with Chelsea, according to LondonsFirst, was Liverpool.

According to the report, Mount preferred Liverpool and Fewings was known to have good connections there.

“It is understood, however, that Manchester United provided the best financial package, and it’s possible that Liverpool encountered difficulties in their negotiations with Mount’s team, but this is just a theory,” the statement continued.

According to a report from Sky Sports, United will give Premier League rival Chelsea an initial payment of £55 million in exchange for Mount’s services.

Better at Liverpool or Manchester United, Mason Mount?

Mason Mount, a midfielder for Chelsea, could thrive at Manchester United, just as he would have at Liverpool had he moved to Anfield, in our opinion.

Mount is a talented and dynamic midfielder who works hard off the ball and is excellent on it.

The England international could propel the team forward and had a good passing range.

It’s true that Mount didn’t have the best season last year, but few Chelsea players did.

Both Manchester United and Liverpool are significant international brands that play forward-thinking, offensive football.

We do not believe that Mount is making a mistake by choosing to join United this summer rather than Liverpool.

In the Premier League, Mount has so far played in 129 games.

In those games, the midfielder has tallied 27 goals and 22 assists.
