Jeremie Frimpong is ‘eager’ to join Manchester United.

Despite strong performances from Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Manchester United may be looking for a new right-back this summer.

Perhaps Erik ten Hag is looking for someone who fits his style of play better, whereas Wan-Bissaka, despite his recent performances, does not.

Jeremie Frimpong is one man who has previously been linked to a Red switch. Now, the Bayer Leverkusen player’s name will be in the news again.

Fabrizio Romano makes the claim. Yesterday, he took to Twitter to give his followers an update on the Frimpong situation.

The player is reportedly ‘keen’ on a move to Manchester United. Though negotiations are not yet advanced, his representatives have met with the Reds, presumably to discuss the possibility of a move to Old Trafford.

To make matters worse, Frimpong’s interest does not change the situation of Dalot, who is currently in contract negotiations with the club.

Frimpong is someone who would benefit this team. There is no doubt about it. The right-back is an excellent fit for this system, and at 22 years old, he still has plenty of room for development.

In terms of cost, the price could rise due to outside interest, resulting in a bidding war. Both FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich are interested in signing the Dutchman, demonstrating how talented this young man is.

Hopefully, United can pull this off because it would be a fantastic piece of business, even if it would mean the end of Wan-Bissaka’s time in Manchester.
