Watford have signed Senegal international Krepin Diatta on a free transfer.
The 27-year-old, who has played as both a right wing-back and right winger, left Monaco in the summer after five-and-a-half seasons with the Ligue 1 side.
Diatta, who played for Senegal at the 2026 World Cup and has made 26 Champions League appearances, has signed a one-year deal with the option of a further year.
“After talking with the people here, the project was very clear in my head.” he told the club’s website.
“Watford is a top club that were in the Premier League not too long ago, and I think this is the place they should be.”
Diatta started his professional career with Norwegian outfit Sarpsborg 08, before a spell at Belgian side Club Brugge and has made more than 265 club appearances, scoring 36 goals.
At international level, he has earned 66 caps for Senegal, scoring twice.
