After Bayern Munich star Serge Gnabry said he was “rooting” for Arsenal to win the league this season, Arsenal supporters are pleading with him to “come home.”

Until the final few weeks of the season, Mikel Arteta’s squad challenged Manchester City for the Premier League championship, but they were unable to maintain their performance standards.

They did place second and secure a spot in the Champions League, which is far more than many predicted they would do this season.

Gnabry consented to an interview with Sky Sports after being sighted at the weekend’s Formula One Spanish Grand Prix and said that he had believed Arsenal would win the League.

Fans are now urging the German to make a spectacular return to the club during the summer transfer window on social media.

The 27-year-old winger for Germany’s national team recently assisted his team in capturing its 11th straight Bundesliga title following Borussia Dortmund’s collapse on the final day.

Gnabry is reportedly evaluating his future at the club, though, as Bayern plans a firesale to bolster their team.

Former employers Arsenal have been mentioned in connection with a possible Premier League comeback.

The former West Brom loanee is a player who Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester United have all been keeping an eye on.

Gnabry is established enough to have a significant influence at the Emirates, therefore we can easily see him moving back there.

He may, however, follow the money, and if the Gunners are unwilling to meet his exorbitant wage demands, we might see a transfer to PSG, La Liga, or an Italian powerhouse.

But we’d really like to see him wearing that shirt from Arsenal again.
